About LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2023-24
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is a commendable initiative by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, a state-owned insurance group and investment company. This scheme aims to award scholarships to meritorious students from Economically Weaker Sections, providing them with better opportunities for higher education and employment.
The scholarship will be awarded for studies in India at government or private colleges and universities. LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship for Regular Scholar
- Education Qualification: Candidate, Who has passed the Class 10 or 12 examination in its equivalent regular/vocational/diploma courses with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the academic year 2023-24.
- Course Details: The grant is provided to students who are interested (and willing) to pursue higher education in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

The grant is provided to students who are pursuing higher education in the field of Vocational / Diploma Courses through government-recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).
- Family Income: Applicant’s parents/guardians have an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.2,50,000 annually.
For Special Girl Child Scholar
Education Qualification: To encourage education for girl child, Special scholarship for Girl Child after class 10 for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years. Candidates who have passed the Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2023-23.
Family Income: Applicant’s parents/guardians have an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000 per annum.
LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Amount Reward & Benefits
Duration – Scholarships will be provided for the entire duration of the course for regular scholars and two years for special girl scholars, subject to the candidate meeting the required eligibility conditions for renewal.

Selection Criteria
- The selection process for scholarships will be merit-based, considering both gender and eligibility criteria. From the initial shortlist of 30 students, 20 will be awarded General Scholarships, equally divided between 10 males and 10 females.
- Additionally, 10 females will be selected for the Special Scholarship for Girl Child. The Divisional Office will make the final decisions on scholarship allocation.
