Kalpana Chawla Scholarship 2024-25
Kalpana Chawla Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship launched in 2012-13 in honor of the great astronaut Kalpana Chawla. It is for girls students who pass the 12th examination and aim to pursue higher education.
Every year almost 2000 students (from various backgrounds of Arts, Science, and Commerce) are selected for this scholarship opportunity and students get a yearly 15,000/- scholarship to make up their educational expenses.
This scholarship plays a crucial role for students who come from a very poor family background and dream of becoming successful in their careers.

Objective Of Kalpana Chawla Scholarship
As we know there are many students in India who stop their education because of poor financial situation. And among those students, many students are highly meritorious. But they cant continue their education due to lack of money. To help those students government initiated many scholarship program and Kalpana Chawla Scholarship is one of them.
The main objective of the Kalpana Chawla Scholarship program is to support poor and financially backward girls students who wish to pursue their higher education in graduation/Masters or diploma courses.
Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

- Applicants must have passed the 12th grade from the Himachal Pradesh Board of Education in Science, Commerce, or Arts streams.
- Candidates must be enrolled in higher education courses in any recognized government or private institution.

Interested students can register and complete the online application process for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Program through the NSP portal.
The application consists total of two steps, lets discuss each one:
Registration
If you are a new student and have no account in NSP portal, then you have to first create a new profile. Follow the following steps to create your first profile.
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/.
- Click on the New Registration option.
- A one-time registration form will open.
- Enter your mobile number and click on the Get OTP option.
- Enter the OTP you received into your mobile number.
- Enter the captcha code properly.
- Click on the Verify button.
- You will receive and Application ID and a password into your mobile number.
Now the next step is login and completion of the application form.
Kalpana Chawla Scholarship login
- Go to the Login Page and enter your Application ID and password.
- Your application dashboard will open.
- Select the Kalpana Chawla merit scholarship option from the active scholarship list.
- The application form will open.
- Fill out the application form with the accurate details.
- Then upload all then necessary documents as mentioned below.
- Check the application form twice or thrice if it has no mistake.
- If all data are correctly entered finally Submit your application form.
- Take a print out of your application pages for further references.
