Objective of the AICTE Swanath Scholarship
The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial support and encouragement to students who are:
- Orphaned
- Children of COVID-19 deceased parents
- Wards of martyrs from the Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces/Police
- Children of severely ill or disabled parents
The scholarship is available to students pursuing their diploma or degree education in AICTE-approved institutions without interruption, helping them build a better future through education.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2025, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Students who are orphans (both parents deceased).
- Students whose parent(s) died due to COVID-19.
- Children of martyrs from the Armed Forces, Central Paramilitary Forces, or State Police.
- Students whose parents is severely ill (e.g., cancer) or permanently disabled.
Additional Conditions:
- The annual family income of the student must be less than ₹8 lakh.
- The student must be enrolled in an AICTE-approved institution in a regular Diploma or Degree course.

Financial Benefits
- Scholarship Amount: ₹50,000 per year
- The main purpose of this scholarship is to cover tuition fees, purchase of books, software, equipment, a laptop/computer, stationery, and other academic-related expenditures.
- If the students is studying 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year degree, then the timeline of the scholarship will be 3/2/1 year respectively. This is applicable to a diploma course also.
- Note: Hostel fees and medical fees are not included under this scheme.

Documents Required
These are th following documents required while applying for the AICTE Swanath scholarship:
For Orphan Students:
- Death certificate of both parents or a certificate issued by the Tehsildar/SDM (Annexure-I format).
- 10th marksheet (mandatory for both Degree and Diploma).
- 10+2 marksheet (only for Degree students).
- Caste/Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL, if applicable).
- Bona fide certificate from the current institution.
For Students Whose Parents Died Due to COVID-19:
- Death certificate mentioning COVID-19 as cause of death.
- Income certificate (if one parent is alive).
- 10th and 10+2 marksheets (for Degree students); only 10th marksheet (for Diploma).
- Category certificate.
- Bona fide certificate from an institution.
For Wards of Martyrs:
- Parent’s death certificate.
- Shaheed/martyr certificate issued by a competent authority from Armed Forces or Police.
- Income certificate.
- 10th and 10+2 marksheets (for Degree); 10th only (for Diploma).
- Category certificate.
- Bona fide certificate.
Selection Process
Here is a selection process for the students based on the degree of the stdents:
For Degree Students:
- Selection is based on 10+2 examination marks.
- If there is a tie:
- Preference to higher 10th marks.
- Elder applicant by age.
- Lower annual family income.
For Diploma Students:
- Selection is based on 10th marks.
- Tie-breakers are:
- Elder applicant by age.
- Lower family income.
How to Apply for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2025
Follow the steps below to apply online:
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal.

- If you are a new candidate and have no account, then click on “Students” and then on “Register” to create a new account under OTR (One Time Registration).
- Complete eKYC and registration using your mobile number and basic details.
- After successful registration, log in to the portal.
- Search for “AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2025” in the list of available scholarships.
- Click on “Apply” and fill in the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents in the required format.
- Review the application and submit.
- Save or print the application number/confirmation for future reference.
Renewal Process
Students who were awarded the scholarship in the previous academic year can apply for renewal as follows:
- Visit NSP Portal.
- Click on “Students Login” and enter your credentials.
- The login form will appear.

- Login using your application OTR Number and password.
- Select “Renewal Application Form”.
- Update current academic year details.
- Upload any documents required for renewal.
- Carefully review the application form and verify if all details are correctly filled.
- If all details are perfectly filled then click on Submit button.
