Aikyashree Scholarship is a scholarship scheme initiated by the government of West Bengal. On 1st August 2019 this scheme started through the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) to help the students of financially weaker sections. The students who come from minority communities (e.g. Muslim, Sikhs, Jain, Christians, Buddhist, Parsi) will be eligible for this scholarship.

Through this Aikyashree Scholarship 2024 program, students of class 1 to up to Ph.D will get financial aid of 1100/- to up to 33,000/- rupees per month. We know that many students (especially in minority castes) in our society who can’t afford their education because of their poor financial condition. And for them, scholarship plays a most important role.

The online application for the Aikyashree Scholarship 2023-24 is still ongoing and the last date is 31st June, 2024. So if you are interested you can fill out the application form.

Aikyashree Scholarship 2023-24 – Overview

West Bengal Minority Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) initiated the scholarship scheme specially for minority category students who belong to the financially backward class. This scholarship is provided to minority-category students (Muslim/Sikh/Christian/Jain/Parsi).

Aikyashree Scholarship 2023-24 Last Date

The Aikyashree Scholarship online registration process is currently Active for some scholarships. The interested candidate can fill out the online form before the last date 31.03.2024 (Extended!).

You can apply through the official website https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/main/student_panel for the new registration or if you are already registered and availing of this scholarship you can renew your application through the above website.

Since many scholarship schemes are running under the Aikyashree scholarship, each scholarship has different eligibility criteria. Students can apply for the scholarship based on their educational qualifications or based on the course they want to pursue in the future.

The candidates who want to apply for the Aikyashree Scholarship must be permanent residents of West Bengal.

Eligibility for Pre-Matric Scholarship

• For Aikyashree Pre-matric scholarship students must be studying in class 9th or 10th.
• The annual family income should be less than 2 lakhs/ year.
• The students must belong to a minority community e.g. Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Christian, Parsi.

Eligibility for Post-Matric Scholarship

• Students must be studying in class 11th, 12th, graduation, or post-graduation.
• The annual family income should be less than 2 lakhs/ year.
• The students must belong to a minority caste like Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Christian, Parsi.

Eligibility for Aikyashree Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

• If you are studying in graduation or higher secondary you can apply for this Aikyashree merit cum-mean scholarship.
• To apply for a Merit cum mean scholarship you must score a minimum of 75% marks in the Madyamik examination (for H.S), 75% marks in H.S. (for graduation), and 55% marks in graduation (for PG courses)
• The annual family income should be less than 80,000/- per year.

Eligibility for Swami Vivekananda merit cum mean scholarship

• The following courses are eligible for applying in the SVMCM scholarship 2023-24:
  • Class 11/12
  • Diploma
  • General Graduation (BA/B.Sc/B.Com)
  • Technical Graduation (BBA/BCA/ Management/Law/B.Tech/B.Arch/BE/B.Pharm etc.)
  • PG courses
  • Research courses (M.Phil/Ph.D)
  • Medical courses (MBBS/ BHMS/BSc Nursing/BAMS/BDS/Paramedical course etc.)
• Students need a minimum 60% marks in Madyamik/HS/Graduation to apply in later courses.
• The annual family income should be less than 2.5 lakhs/year.

Eligibility for Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship

• Only female candidates are eligible for the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship
• Students studying for science degrees are eligible.
• Students can apply both in class 11th/graduation based on class 10th and class 12th marks respectively.
• For applying in graduation, the candidate should pursue their graduation in B.Sc (Hons.)./Engineering/Medical BS-MS courses.

The amount of the Aikyashree scholarship is different for all categories. It depends on the category to which you are applying. The scholarship aid also depends on whether the student is residing in the hostel or not. Aikyashree scholarship 2023-24 amount ranges from 1,100 to up to 33,000 rupees.

Aikyashree Scholarship Application Process

You can follow the following steps for Aikyashree Scholarship Application Process.

New Registration process

• First, go to the official website of Aikyashree Scholarship portal.
• Then click on “students area section”
• Then click on “Fresh registration 2023-24”
• Select your preferred district. (Choose the district carefully where your institute belongs)

• The registration form will open. Enter your District details, Some personal details, and bank account details.
• If you are applying for the post-matric scholarship then add your self account details and if you are applying for the pre-matric scholarship then add your father’s/mother’s account details.
• Fill out the captcha.
• Click on “Submit and proceed”. Then the scheme eligibility form will open.

Scheme eligibility form

• Here you have to fillup your institute details e.g. institute district name, institute location.
• Then enter your current course name, the last course you have passed, the name of the board, the percentage of marks you got.
• Enter your annual family income.
• Then create a password. And re-enter confirmed password.
• Then click on “Submit and proceed”.
• Your registration will be completed.
• You will get your application ID after completion of registration. Kindly note the application ID.

Aikyashree scholarship login process

• Then click on the Login button.
• The login page will open.
• Enter Your application ID, Password, and district, and fill the captcha. Then click on login.
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter this OTP and click on submit.
• The application page will open where you have to fill in your basic details.
  • Many details is already filled. If you want to change it you can do it as your choice.
  • Enter your permanent address details.
  • Enter the Banglar sikha portal ID (received from your school), Adhar Number, your name as per Adhar card number, etc.
  • Enter whether you are already getting any central scholarship.
• Tick on the check box. Click on the “Submit and proceed” button.
• The academic details page will open. Enter all your academic details, enter the course duration, and add the institution name.

• Then click on “Submit and proceed”.
• Enter your bank account details. and click on “submit and proceed”
• The whole application preview will open in front of you. Check all the details carefully.
• If all details are correct then scroll down, tick three checkboxes, and click on “Varify and lock application”.
• Well, you have successfully submitted your application.
• Take a print-out of this application form and submit it to your institute.

You can track the application status using the following steps:

• First go to the official website of the Aikyashree scholarship.
• Click on the student’s area.
• Then click on “Track application”.

• Enter your year of registration, district, application ID, and date of birth, and fill the captcha.
• Then click on the submit button.
• Your application status will open.

aikyashree scholarship renewal application 2023-24

If you already created your Aikyashree scholarship profile in the previous year then you just need to renew your application to get benefits in the current year 2023-24.

• Go, to the official Aikyashree scholarship student area.
• Then click on “Renew application 2023-24.“
• A login form will open. Enter your application Id, DOB, and district, and fill in the captcha.
• Then click on the login button.
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP to get into the renew application page.
• Note: Only those students can renew who already got benefits in the last year. If you have not got the scholarship yet please don’t renew.
• Click on Renew application.
• You will see all your previously filled details. You don’t need to change any personal details. Just scroll down the page and click on “Submit and next”
• In this page, you need to enter your previous institute details and the last exam (2022-23) percentage (%) marks.
• Enter your present academic details of session 2023-24.
• Then click on “Submit and next”.
• You will see your bank details. If you want to change the details you can do it and click on “Submit and Next”.
• select your ID proof, give the ID details, and upload the scanned copy of the document.
• Click on Submit and Next.
• Your application form preview will open.
• Scroll down and click on the check box.
• If all details are correct then click on “Submit and lock renewal application”.
• Your application is successfully submitted.
• Take a printout of your application.
• Submit the application to your institute with relevant details.
