Hay if you are a female student in India searching for a good scholarship program then Azim Premji Scholarship might be beneficial for you. The Azim Premji Foundation has released the Azim Premji Scholarship 2024-25, for the female college students of India, who face difficulty in continuing their college education.

As we know the rate of female education is lower, especially in financially weak families. So Azim Premji Scholarship will help those students fight all the financial constraints they face to access college education.

In the 2024-25 academic year, students who qualified for their 10th and 12th form government institution and enrolled In the 1st year of their degree/Diploma program can apply for this scholarship till the last date 15 April 2025.

Each selected student will get an annual scholarship of up to 30,000/- per year till completion fo their degree/diploma course to cover their tuition fees or to pay all the educational costs.

However, this scholarship is currently running in only two specific states e.g Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh  (35 districts) and Rajasthan (22 districts). But later it will be circulated in different parts of India.

Eligibility Criteria

The Azim Premji Scholarship has specific eligibility criteria for girl students from certain regions in India. According to the details provided, here are the eligibility criteria that candidates should match:

• The scholarship is open to all female students from Madhya Pradesh, some selected districts* of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, and Itki block, Ranchi, in Jharkhand.
• Applicants must have passed Grade X from a local government school.
• They must have also passed Grade XII from a government-affiliated school (regular or open) in 2023-24 or earlier.
• The candidates must have been admitted to any Undergraduate degree or diploma program in any government or government-affiliated private college.

Each selected student for the Azim Premji Foundation scholarship will receive an annual scholarship of INR 30,000/- in each year, till completion of the undergraduate degree or diploma course.

This scholarship amount allows students to pay their tuition fees or any other educational items that they need during their education.

In the year 2024-25 around 25,000 students were selected for the the Azim Premji scholarship. In the year 2025-26 this scholarship will be provided for around 18 states.

Here is the full process of application for the Azim Premji foundation scholarship. Follow the step-by-step application process to apply for this scholarship:

• First, visit the official website of the Azim Premji foundation scholarship portal.
• The home page will open.
• Scroll down and click on Apply Online.

• The eligibility checking process will start, so select everything accordingly.
• After the successful eligibility checkup Enter your mobile number then click on send OTP.
• Then enter the OTP to verify the mobile number.
• After that, a form will open. Enter your name, and Aadhra card number, then choose a password then click on register.
• After successful registration, the User ID will be sent to your mobile number via SMS.

The next step is to log in and complete the application process:

• Visit the login page of the Azim Premji Foundation scholarship portal.
• Enter your User ID (e.g. abcd1234) and password then click on the Login button.

• First you have to complete your profile.
• First click your image using the camera, then enter the gender, DOB, and Email ID, and Upload the Aadhar card photocopy.
• Enter your communication details then click on Save Changes.
• Click on Create Application in the dashboard section.
• Enter your precious academic details e.g. 12th/10th mark sheet details, school details, and upload the photocopy of the mark sheet.
• Then click on the Submit button.
• Enter your socio-economic details.
• Upload the caste and disability certificate (optional).
• Then click on Save and Continue.
• Enter your current undergraduate program details that you are pursuing.
• Upload proof of admission and fee receipt.
• Then click on Save and continue.
• Fill in the checkboxes, and preview the application.
• If all the details are correct then finally click on the I agree and Submit button.

  • College admission proof
  • College fee receipt
  • Bona Fide Certificate
• Original Aadhaar Card photocopy
• Applicant bank account number

NOTE: The applicant is required to submit clear, legible, and color-scanned copies of the given documents.

How to accept scholarship offer

Applicants who are shortlisted will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number with the following message:

“Your application has been shortlisted for further processing. Please visit our website to log in and update the required information within 10 days to avoid rejection of your application – Azim Premji Scholarship.”

After receiving this message, applicants must log in to the Scholarship Portal and:

• Confirm acceptance of the scholarship offer, and
• Digitally sign the Scholarship Agreement to officially secure the scholarship.

To complete the acceptance process, the following documents must be uploaded no later than 15 April 2025:

• A clear, colour-scanned copy of the applicant’s signature, and
• A self-attested bank account statement covering the past one month.

Important: The bank account must be in the applicant’s own name and maintained with a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

Failure to complete these steps by the deadline will cancel the scholarship offer.
