Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS), Kolkata provides two types of scholarship schemes according to a degree course. Eligible female candidates from West Bengal can get one one-time scholarship scheme benefit for a single course. Let’s see Below:

West Bengal Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship Eligibility 2024
- Nationality – The applicant should be an Indian National Girl
- Resident – The candidate should be from West Bengal.
- Document – The candidate should have a valid email ID.
- Limitation – The candidates having the following limitations are not eligible to apply:
- Candidates pursuing B.Sc. Pass course/ Diploma course/ B.Sc. Nursing courses are not eligible.
- Candidates who passed out before 2024 are not eligible to apply.
Education Qualification
- Junior Scholarship Program – Who has passed the class 10th or equivalent examination in 2024, and admitted in class 11th with science stream in any school of West Bengal
- Senior Scholarship Program – Candidates who have passed the 10+2 or Higher Secondary exam in 2024 and aspire to study in B.Sc (Hons.)./Engineering/Medical pr BS-MS degree courses in any college of West Bengal.
jBNSTS scholarship amount 2024 – Award list
Junior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti –
- Selected candidates will get Rs. 1250/- per month for 2 years (till completion of 12th standard examination).
- Annual Book Grant of Rs.2500/-
- Exposures to seminars and workshops designed for young scholars.
Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti –
- Rs. 4000/- per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 5000/- for four / five years (till completion of B.Tech / BE / MBBS / BS-MS / M.Sc).
- Research grant amounting to Rs. 80,000/- (Rs. 60,000 + Rs. 20,000) per annum is awarded to JBNSTS Senior Scholars till completion of Masters Degree in Basic Science curriculum.
- Annual Book Grant of Rs. 5,000/- p.a. for the scholars.
- The top 10 girls and boys will be awarded by Laptop.

Based on the performance of the written test, short-listed candidates will be called for interview. Finally, based on the performance of both written tests and interviews, names of selected candidates will be announced.

- Photocopy of the mark sheet of class 12 or equivalent and the proof of admission.
- Scan a copy of of 1st year admission proof after class.

- The document details paying a fee of Rs 200/- online or through e-challan.
- Three high-resolution recent passport-size photographs of the candidate.
- A self-addressed envelope having a postal stamp of INR 10 (envelope size 20 cm x 12 cm) for sending Admit Card.
