The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra has taken the initiative to encourage youth to pursue higher studies in different fields. They have introduced the Eklavya Scholarship, Maharashtra 2023-24.

 All deserving students, from graduates in Law, Arts, Commerce, and Science streams who have been admitted to postgraduate degree courses will receive a merit-based one-time financial assistance of Rs.5,000/-.

Eklavya Scholarship 2024

The primary aim of the Maharashtra Eklavya Scholarship is to offer financial assistance to students who are hindered from pursuing higher education due to financial constraints, the state government annually provides financial support to enable these students to continue their education.

Students who have been admitted to postgraduate programs and have achieved 60% marks in Arts, Commerce, or Law at the undergraduate level, or 70% marks in Science at the undergraduate level, are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Eklavya Scholarship 2024 Last Date

The Eklavya Scholarship 2024 online application is ongoing. Applicants can easily apply from the official website before the last date. New and Renewal applications for 2024-25 commenced on 25th July 2024. Eklavya Scholarship 2024 Last date for Application Acceptance (New/Renewal) for 2024-25 is 31st Mar 2025. Application Re-apply has been extended until 31st Mar 2025.

Eklavya Scholarship Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on merit after meeting the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

• Students must graduate from Law, Commerce, or Arts with 60% marks, while Science students must have 70%
•  The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed Rs. 75,000/-
• The candidate should be a resident of Maharashtra State.
•  The beneficiary should not hold a part-time or full-time job anywhere.
• Students from Maharashtra studying outside the state are not eligible to apply for this scheme.

Required Documents

To apply for a scholarship there need some basic documents like

• Tahsildar issued the applicant’s family annual income certificate.
• Applicant Previous Year Mark sheet.
• Candidate Domicile certificate.
