This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to the children of Beedi, Cine, Iron Ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC), Limestone, and Dolomite Mines (LSDM) workers, ensuring that economic hardships do not hinder their educational aspirations.
This scholarship will provide financial assistance to the students of the Labour workers from the Indian government. With the help of this scholarship, students can focus on their education without worrying about their financial situation.
Students can apply for the Labour Card Scholarship 2025 through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) website before the last date of application.

Overview of Labour Card Scholarship 2025
The Labour Card Scholarship 2025 is designed to support students whose family member is an organized sector workers. The eligible students will get financial aid from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the government of India.
Through this scholarship, the students can carry out their education without any financial burdens. As we know most labour-class workers face financial instability and many of them can’t afford the study expenses of their children. So scholarship plays an important role at least in carrying the basic fees of school/college/tuition.
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the National Scholarship Portal before the deadline.

labour card scholarship eligibility criteria
All the students must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for this labour card scholarship 2025.
- Parents must be workers in Beedi, Cine, IOMC, or LSDM sectors with at least six months of service. This also includes both contract and Gharkhata (home-based) workers
- Only students enrolled in Class 11 or 12 are eligible to apply. For the post-matric scheme, eligibility extends to students pursuing ITI, Polytechnic, B.Sc. Agriculture, degree programs, and professional courses.
- The family income limits of the candidates should not exceed the limits:
- Beedi Workers: ₹10,000/month
- Mine Workers: ₹10,000/month
- Cine Workers: ₹8,000/month or ₹1,00,000 (lump sum payments).
- Candidates must have passed their previous exam on the first attempt.
- Candidates must have pursuing their education from government-recognized institutes.
- Applicants must have secured regular admission to a recognized institution in India for any general or technical education program. This includes medical, engineering, and agricultural studies. However, the following students are ineligible for the scholarship:
- Those who, after completing one level of education in one subject, pursue the same level in a different subject (e.g., B.Sc. after B.Com. or M.A. in a different subject after completing an M.A.).
- Those who, after finishing their academic journey in one professional field, switch to another (e.g., pursuing an L.L.B. after completing B.T. or B.Ed.).
- A separate bank account in the scholar’s name is mandatory for receiving funds.
- If more then one child of the same family is applying for this scholarship then they must be:
- They must have a separate bank account
- They must have different mobile numbers.
Labour card scholarship amount
All the students whose family members are working as laborers of Beedi, Iron Ore, Manganese Ore, Chrome Ore, Limestone, Dolomite, and Cine will get financial benefits from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Steps to Apply for the Labour Card Scholarship
To apply for the Labour Card Scholarship, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the Official Website
- Go to the National Scholarship Portal.
- New Registration OTR
- Click on the “New Registration“ option on the homepage.
- Read the provided instructions carefully that will be displayed in your screen.
- Agree to the declaration and click on “Continue”.

- Mobile number verification:
- Enter the mobile number and click on the get OTP.
- Once you get the OTP , enter this OTP into the box.
- Click on Verify.

- Fill in Basic Details
- Enter the required information, including:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number
- Gender
- Email Address
- Bank Account Details
- Enter the captcha code and click “Register”.
- Enter the required information, including:
- Your registration is completed. Now the next step is login and complete the online application form fillup.
Login and Application Form Submission
- Use your login credentials like your application ID and password to access the portal.
- Select “Application Form” from the menu.
- Fill in details such as:
- State of Residence
- Category (Community)
- Father’s & Mother’s Name
- Aadhaar Number
- Annual Family Income
- Religion
- Scholarship Category
- Click “Save & Continue” after entering the details.
- Finally, select “Final Submission” to complete the application.
Checking Labour Card Scholarship Status
After submitting the application, you can check your scholarship status by following these steps:
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal
- Go to the official National Scholarship Portal.
- Login to Your Account
- Click on “Login” and enter your registered credentials (Application ID & Password).
- Access the Application Status
- Navigate to the “Check Application Status” option in the dashboard.
