Students must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Candidates must be the permanent resident of Karnataka state.

- The annual family income of students must be less than 2.5 lakhs/year and for students under 2A, 3A, and 3B (OBC/EBC) the annual family income should be less than 1 lakh/year.
